Hello looking for some help please i have an m p shield in 9mm that i got about 4 5 years ago one of the first ones out it has about 2500 rounds through it of factory ammo and 124 grain reloads.
M p shield 9mm light primer strikes.
I d tried everything different primers isolated various case brands double checked the primers were seated.
For the last six months or so i ve been getting the occasional light primer strike when using my 9mm m p probably averaging about 5 of my rounds and it was only with my reloads from my lee pro1000.
Smith wesson m p striker assembly.
This striker assembly is constructed of a durable white polymer bushing keeper and stainless steel pin spring components and is an oem factory original part from smith wesson.
I would like to try and answer it just to help out and also for my edification since i have this trigger kit.
The firing pin assembly is designed for the full sized compact shield versions of the m p 9 40 models of pistols from smith wesson chambered in 9mm 40 s w respectively.
M p light primer strikes picked up the rounds re chambered them after the match and they all went off with very positive strikes on the primers i cleaned and lubed the gun before the match with mobil 1 which i have used for several years now.
A while back i bought an apex kit from amazon.
Unfortunately in a recent bulk update most of our descriptions were wiped out.
Because of this i received a question to answer email from amazon today.
However the person asking the question has a performance center m p 9mm and is getting light primer strikes on rounds 3 through 8 from the magazine.
It was annoying the hell out of me.
